The acclaimed Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular presented by Citizens Bank will return to Roger Williams Park Zoo this fall, featuring a breathtaking display of thousands of illuminated jack-o-lanterns - with hundreds of those carved into veritable works of art.

It takes approximately 1 hour to see all 5,000 pumpkins along the 3-acre trail but expect to wait in line to see the pumpkins.

This is a popular event. Expect crowds and lines.

Visitors are advised to check the weather before arrival and dress accordingly since the park is open rain or shine.

Seasonal food items such as pumpkin and apple pie, popcorn, candied apples and hot cider will be available from food carts positioned throughout the lines.

There are restrooms available just inside the zoo gates and in waiting areas.
To ensure access for the disabled, they do allow
wheelchairs on the trail. Wheelchairs are available at the entrance on a first come first serve basis.

Sprague Mansion
Visit the Sprague Mansion, "one of America's most haunted mansions" with the reputation and the home's history of tragedy, at Halloween, the mansion is a spectacle with goblins and who-knows-what lurking behind each door.

The Sprague Mansion was built in two parts, each representing in its own way, the prosperity of the Sprague Family who came to Cranston as early as 1712.

The mansion has been well maintained in its original condition down through the years. Modern facilities have since been tastefully added making the building suitable for the use of large groups when required. Now restored to much of its elegance and splendor the mansion is once again used for cultural and civic activities. Furnished throughout by gifts and items on loan, the mansion holds items that once belonged to the Sprague family.

Smith's Castle
Smith's Castle is an award-winning historic site where four centuries of Rhode Island history are preserved and interpreted through tours. Docent guides are dressed in period clothing.

The site contains a gift shop as well as rest room facilities.

Lizzie Borden Home & Museum
The Borden Home is a Greek Revival House which has been a city landmark since the infamous ax murders of Andrew and his second wife Abby Borden on August 4, 1892. The house has been a private residence since the murders in 1892. Now, for the first time, the public is allowed a view the murder scene.

The interior and exterior of the home has been restored to its original Victorian splendor, with careful attention to making it as close to the Borden home of August 1892 as is possible.

There are a few stairs to get up to the house. Guests will have to climb 13 steps up to second floor.
